in Central and Eastern Europe

/ ASTRA

Central and Eastern European Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights is a regional informal network, created in 1999 by women’s rights organizations and activists from Central and Eastern Europe. Woman Health & Family Planning Charity Foundation is the network’s representative and its active member since 1998.

European Coalition Against Cancer

/ EUROPA DONNA

Since its creation in 1996, WHFP Charity Foundation has been actively and consistently implementing public information and prevention programs to combat breast cancer, in particular in Ukraine, working effectively with doctors, women - breast cancer survivors, and wide range of Ukrainian people on breast cancer prevention and early diagnostic.

Being one of the leading Ukrainian NGOs working in public health sphere, in December 1999 in response to the invitation of the European Coalition Against Cancer / EUROPA DONNA, Charity Foundation became its full representative in Ukraine and started implementing activities in this area in line with international standards and EUROPA DONNA principles.

Union for International Cancer Control

/ UICC

Within public information and prevention activities aimed at combating breast cancer in Ukraine, Woman Health & Family Planning Charity Foundation from 2008 to 2010 actively cooperated with the Union for International Cancer Control as UICC representative in Ukraine, and since then actively disseminates thematic information provided by UICC. In Ukraine WHFP Foundation is the initiator of annual large-scale public awareness campaign on the prevention of breast cancer and other cancers of women reproductive sphere, as well as advocacy on the necessity of state support to this sphere.
