WHFP experts provided consultations to health service providers of Emergency SRH Aid Units in eastern Ukraine

In the second half of May as part of the 3rd phase of the UNFPA-funded Project “Response to acute humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable women and adolescent girls affected by armed conflict in eastern Ukraine”, WHFP experts conducted two workshops for health service providers of the Emergency SRH Aid Units in eastern Ukraine.

The meetings were attended by:

  • 15 doctors and nurses from Donetsk region – on May 22-23, 2017 in Kramatorsk;
  • 15 doctors and nurses from Luhansk region – on May 24-25, 2017 in Severodonetsk.

Workshops were aimed to work out and discuss the algorithms of SRH Units functioning with regard to the urgent needs of GBV survivors in providing them with medical and psychological care; to develop the patient’s route in the case of their call for medical assistance; logistics and information support to Emergency SRH Aid Units functioning; to identify obstacles to effective operation of the SRH Aid Units and ways to overcome them.
